Dr. Bart Van Oostendorp
Everyone has a great story and I have been inspired as I get to know my patients and witness their triumphs. My patients and staff help me see not only the bright side of life, but also make me more aware of everyone’s unique challenges and viewpoints. My greatest joy is to fix a problem for a patient that has impacted their quality of life. From a beautiful smile to a great fitting denture to a painless injection, I aim to exceed expectations. Quite simply, I love people and I love fixing things…especially teeth!
EDUCATION
I attended the University of the Pacific for my dental training, earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. My formal education in dentistry has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. By regularly participating in continuing education, I am able to stay current on the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Originally from Southern California and Phoenix, Arizona, I now reside in Brevard with my wonderful family. My wife, Randi, and I have five children, Bartel, Chloe, Annie, Oliver, and Charlie. I love spending time with my children, and watching as they grow and change through the years.
My leisure activities include restoring classic VWs, off-road racing, and volunteering with the Boy Scouts, of which I am an Eagle Scout. I am also a pastor at my church and support Farming for Family.
Chelsea
With over twenty years in the dental field, my journey started with a certification in Dental Assisting and an Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Since high school, I've been dedicated to improving smiles.
I love getting to know my patients and making them comfortable, especially children transitioning from fear to fun. Helping people gain confidence in their smiles is incredibly rewarding.
As a lifelong mountain resident, I enjoy witnessing the positive impact on my patients' health and smiles.
Outside of work, I spend time with my husband of 21 years and our three daughters, Addisyn, Jade, and Ty. I coach JV volleyball at Swain, and our family enjoys horseback riding, farming, camping, and lake life.
Donna
Born and raised in Sylva, I am a proud graduate of Smoky Mountain High School, class of 1997. Afterward, I attended AB Tech, where I earned my certification as a Dental Assistant II. Since 2006, I have dedicated myself to the dental field, finding immense satisfaction in caring for patients and helping them achieve beautiful smiles. When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my husband, our son Andrew, and our three dogs, enjoying outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and trips to the lake.
Ketara
I have been working at the front desk for 9 years, where I strive to ensure every patient feels welcome and well-cared-for from the moment they arrive. Although I don't have a formal background in dentistry, my dedication to providing excellent customer service is at the heart of what I do.
Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family. I have four wonderful children: Emily, Elijah, Mazikeen, and our beloved dog Sucre.
